Laser Services Patch Test
All of our laser services require a mandatory patch test and consultation. It is really important that before you attend this consultation that you understand the following:
Do not pluck, wax tweeze or epilate any area that you wish to have hair removal. Please just shave the area 48 hours prior to your patch test. Small regrowth is ok.
Book your appointment 4 week after any UV exposure, this includes sun beds, holidays where you have been in the sun. Please ensure that you have have not used nasal tan, tan injections for at least 4 weeks before your treatment or 4 weeks after. You must not have used false tan within 2 weeks of your appointment.
Please avoid photo sensitising foods/supplements this is not an exhaustive list but includes: St Johns wort, any retinol containing medicines- Roaccutane- tenetinoin,Celery,Lime, parsley.
Do not use the following on the treatment area for at least 5-7 days before your patch test or treatment: AHA-facial acids which includes, lactic acid, glycolic acid, mandelic acid, citric acid. BHA- Salyclic acid. Any retinoid based creams, serums or washes.
